CHITON DRIFT
Chiton Drift is the perfect beach getaway for families and friends. It’s a spacious new home (2015), equipped with everything you need.
This very comfortable holiday home is a great place to take a short break or spend a holiday relaxing on the South Coast. It’s beautifully decorated in a casual, tasteful style. A selection of original beach artwork adds a welcoming feel. It’s perfect to relax, recharge and rejuvenate.
Chiton Beach is just 250 metres away or a 3 minute stroll. Its a fantastic beach that stretches between Victor Harbor and Port Elliot.
Its just a 25 minute stroll along the beach to Port Elliot or a 3 minute drive (if you’re in a hurry to get to the Port Elliot Bakery!). You can borrow our bikes and ride the Encounter Bikeway and be in Port Elliot in 10 minutes (BYO bikes if you want). The Encounter Bikeway goes from the Bluff at Victor Harbor, all the way to Goolwa. It runs along the street behind Chiton Drift and is a great way to explore the area.
Non-shedding dogs are welcome at Chiton Drift if you are happy to observe a few conditions. Dogs are not allowed in bedrooms.
THE HOUSE
Chiton Drift has two spacious open-plan living areas – one upstairs and one downstairs.
It has a huge deck with uninterrupted views overlooking the ranges. The deck has a dining table and occasional chairs and is a wonderful place to have breakfast, enjoy a coffee with the paper or enjoy a drink before a bbq dinner.
The kitchen, dining and main living areas are all upstairs to make the most of the wonderful views. The kitchen is modern and well-equipped with a dishwasher and walk-in pantry.
There are 4 bedrooms allowing for up to 9 guests - main bedroom upstairs, 3 bedrooms downstairs. Bedrooms are configured as follows:
Bedroom 1 - Queen bed
Bedroom 2 - Queen bed
Bedroom 3 – Two single beds
Bedroom 4 - Double bed bottom, single bed on top
As this is a holiday house rental, sheets and linen are NOT included but we can arrange this for you for a small extra cost. Pillows and doonas ARE supplied.
Chiton Drift has 3 modern bathrooms, two with showers and one has a bath as well. Plus there is a fun outdoor shower with hot and cold water. Great after a day at the beach.

Quilts, quilt covers, pillows and mattresses with protectors are included. Guests need to supply their own linen (sheets, towels, pillow cases, bath mats, hand towels, tea towels).
If you dont want to bring linen, we can arrange for fresh linen to be delivered for you and collected afterwards. There is a small additional cost.
There is a split system air conditioning system (heating/cooling) in both of the living areas and a ceiling fan in the main bedroom.
There are two large flat screen smart TVs, one in each of the living areas, plus there are games, books and magazines. The upstairs sound system connects to your device via Bluetooth.
There is a slate top pool table in the downstairs living area.
The fully fenced and secure lawned backyard is ideal for the kids and non-shedding dogs.
There are 3 bikes plus helmets that guests can use.
THE LOCATION
Chiton Drift is just over an hour from Adelaide and is located between the popular tourist towns of Victor Harbor and Port Elliot. It is closest to Port Elliot with easy access to cafes, the famous bakery, pubs, restaurants, supermarkets and some fascinating and eclectic boutiques, galleries and shops.
Of course the beach is never far away. Whether you want the safety of Horseshoe Bay or the adrenalin of Chiton Rocks, Middleton or Goolwa, there’s something for everyone. Chiton Beach is just 250 metres away and is patrolled by the Surf Life Saving Club on weekends between October and Easter.
